Ariana Grande was forced on Tuesday to postpone concerts in both Tampa and Orlando, Fla. due to an undisclosed sickness.
The Bang Bang singer turned to Instagram in the wake of the last-minute rescheduling to share an explanation with her fans about what she claims was actually happening.
The discovery came to Grande unexpectedly when she said on May 28 that she had an allergic reaction while eating tomatoes ahead of her Tampa gig.
Her throat closed after eating the fruit, according to the 25-year-old.
"Nothing is more unfair than an Italian woman in her mid-20s who develops an allergy to tomatoes," Grande wrote in the post.
"(It) still feels like I swallow a cactus but progress slowly!"Again, she added.
While Grande was "beyond devastation" about the postponement, she promised to return in November to her dedicated Floridian fans.
"For your love and understanding, thank you all," she wrote. "I can't wait to get back to the performance and make it up to Tampa and Orlando in November." Grande added in an Instagram story: "I'll keep you posted on exact dates as soon as possible, but in November we'll be back and you'll be able to use the tickets you've already purchased.
"I'm going to make up for you, I promise. Pardon me, please. I love you and I'll be back and better than ever as soon as possible. "Grande will make one last stop in Canada during the North American leg of her extensive Sweetener World Tour before returning to Florida this November to make up for the postponed concerts.
She will be in the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on June 26. Further details and information on tickets can be found on the official website of Ariana Grande.
