J.K. Rowling to release ‘Harry Potter’ short stories in June

It looks like J.K. stories. The Wizarding World of Rowling is far from over.

Fans have been treated not only to a number of in-universe books and two spinoff films, but also to a critically acclaimed play, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, since the conclusion of the main Harry Potter novel and movie series in 2011.

While Rowling left many of her dedicated followers under the impression that the remaining three Fantastic Beasts films would complete the expanded fictional universe, Pottermore Publishing has just revealed that it is launching a brand new series of short stories, according to the Tribune Media Wire.

That's right, four non-fiction "bite-sized" eBooks will be coming soon based on "traditional folklore and magic at the heart of the Harry Potter series."

According to the publisher, the books will be released in pairs beginning on June 27. Harry Potter: The first two will be a Journey Through Charms and Defense Against Dark Arts, and Harry Potter: A Journey Through Potions and Herbology.

Adapted from the 2017 Harry Potter— A History of Magic audiobook exhibition, each book revolves around specific topics taught throughout the fantasy series at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Pottermore Publishing described the books as "an opportunity to absorb in a more compact way the colorful characters and curious incidents of the real history of magic." The four-installment series also includes detailed and "wonderful" line drawings by Rohan Daniel Eason, a London-based artist.

Harry Potter: A Journey Through Divination and Astronomy, and Harry Potter: A Journey Through Care of Magical Creatures, is supposed to follow "soon after." As of this writing, it is unclear when the two latter books will be released officially.
