Hundreds of bodies of people who died in New York during the peak of the pandemic last spring are still deposited in refrigerated trucks in Brooklyn. These are the bodies of those whose families could not be traced or those who could not afford adequate burial.
It is about 650 corpses. New York recently raised its contribution to help troubled families organize funerals to $ 1,700 from the previous $ 900.
