Apple halves commissions for small developers who sell software through the App Store. Starting next year, Apple will charge a 15% and no more than 30% fee for App Store sales from companies that generate less than $ 1 million in revenue through the platform.
The commission remains at 30% for developers whose App Store sales exceed $ 1 million.
The cut is a partial response to criticism leveled at Apple for the high fees it charges, and does not respond to those advanced by larger companies such as Epic Games.
