Covid: Spain, first vaccines for RSA residents

The vaccination strategy against Covid-19 in Spain provides for 18 population groups to whom priority doses will be administered to residents and workers of health and social-health centers, about 2.5 million of people. This was announced by Health Minister Salvador Illa quoted by the Efe agency.

Explained that the groups were delimited on the basis of four levels of risk: severe morbidity and mortality, degree of exposure to the disease, socio-economic impact and rate of transmission. The plan defines three priority phases based on the availability of doses: a first "with very limited administration" of doses which runs from January to March; a second, from March to June, in which vaccinations will be "progressively" increased; and the last to immunize all 18 population groups covered.
